1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of this website and, together with any written proposal or purchase agreement we provide, the supply of our goods and services. "Green Coast", "we", "us" and "our" means Green Coast Solar & Electrical of Unit 2, 10–12 Ivan Street, Arundel QLD 4214 (Contractors Licence No. 88122; CEC Licence No. A2362156). By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

2. Our services

We design, supply and install residential and commercial solar power systems, battery storage, air conditioning, and general electrical services across the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Northern NSW and the Sunshine Coast. All electrical work is performed by appropriately licensed electricians in accordance with applicable Australian Standards and Queensland electrical safety requirements.

3. Website content is general information only

Content on this website — including blog articles, guides, pricing indications, system-size guidance and rebate information — is provided in good faith for general information only. It is not a quote, and it is not financial or product advice for your specific circumstances. System performance, savings and payback periods depend on your individual usage, roof, location and energy tariffs. Government rebates and incentives change over time and are subject to eligibility criteria set by the relevant authorities.

4. Quotes and proposals

• Quotes and proposals are valid for the period stated on the document (or 30 days if no period is stated).
• Quotes are prepared based on the information available at the time. If a site inspection reveals conditions that materially affect the work (for example switchboard upgrades, roof condition, access issues or metering requirements), we will discuss any variation with you before proceeding.
• The specific inclusions, payment terms, deposit requirements and timeframes for your installation are set out in your purchase agreement, which prevails over these general Terms to the extent of any inconsistency.

5. Rebates and incentives (STCs)

Where a system is eligible for Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) or other government incentives, any discount shown in your quote assumes those certificates or incentives are assigned to us (or our agent) as part of the transaction. Eligibility is determined by the relevant government body, not by us, and incentive values can change. If eligibility or value changes between quote and installation, we will discuss the impact with you before proceeding.

6. Warranties and consumer guarantees

• Products we supply carry the manufacturer's warranties applicable to those products (for example panel product and performance warranties, and inverter and battery warranties). Details are set out in your purchase agreement and the manufacturer's documentation.
• Our workmanship warranty for your installation is as stated in your purchase agreement.
• Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
• Warranties may not cover damage caused by misuse, unauthorised modification or repair by third parties, extreme weather events, or failure to maintain the system as recommended.

7. Site access and safety

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the site for assessment and installation. We may reschedule work where weather or site conditions make it unsafe to proceed.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos and design — is owned by or licensed to us and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without our written permission.

9. Third-party links

This website may link to third-party websites (for example manufacturer sites, review platforms or government resources). We are not responsible for the content of third-party sites.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, and subject always to the consumer guarantees referred to in section 6, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or its general information content. Our liability in connection with goods and services we supply is governed by your purchase agreement and applicable law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies from its "last updated" date. Changes do not affect the terms of any purchase agreement already in place.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
